Men's Basketball drop Labour Day exhibition to Lincoln Memorial

BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins men's basketball team fell behind early and were never able to catch up in their exhibition contest against Lincoln Memorial, dropping a 93-66 decision.

"I thought we had some really good moments and some clear indicators of what we need to work on," head coach Jim Flack said. "At the end of the day, games like these are more about just having fun. The priority at this time of year is to make sure everyone is getting settled into the start of a new year and new classes."

The Double Blue will officially open training camp on Sept. 11, and are next in action when they visit McMaster on Sept. 28.

They will play a contest against an Alumni team during Sheridan Homecoming at the Trafalgar Campus the next night, before travelling to Montreal for the annual Dawson tournament over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Bruins will finally play true home games when they host the Wayne Allison Fall Showdown Oct.13 and 14, and will open OCAA West play at home on Oct. 20 against St. Clair.
